With the implementation of iDoc™, CareTech’s
full-featured Document Imaging and Management solution, healthcare
organizations can achieve the business objective of providing information to
authorized users for patient care and business operations while significantly

consolidating all currently available electronic data and scanned document
images to provide seamless access to authorized users. iDoc is a hosted
solution and enables healthcare organizations to ensure data redundancy for

Based on the hospital’s needs, iDoc can be integrated so the main Hospital
Information System (HIS) is utilized for Patient Registration and the overall
facility EMR; while utilizing iDoc for document capture. This seamless
integration is accomplished through the iDoc Agent (iDoc’s open integration
tool), and CareTech’s working relationship with all major HIS vendors.
Depending on the vendor, users click a button on the HIS screen to view or
capture scanned images within iDoc. This simple click of a button can
automatically pass relevant patient and user information to iDoc so that the
user is instantly authenticated within iDoc and is accessing the correct
information.
Full editing capability exists for all electronic documents including
transcribed reports. Notes can be added directly to or appended to documents.
Documents can be highlighted or redacted based on your business requirements
and user permissions.
