“Our hospital is committed to providing the best healthcare to the community we serve,” said Jim Williamson, director of radiology at Garden City Hospital. “We are investing in AMICAS’ cutting-edge technology in order to optimize our radiology operations and to enable us to maintain solid relationships with our referring physicians through the proactive delivery of results.”
The technology suite will drive significant improvements in radiologist productivity while enabling improvements in the quality of care; allow radiology practices and departments to provide unparalleled service to referring physicians via the proactive communication of reports and key images as well as follow-up order entry; and drive administrative staff productivity and revenue opportunities.
“Our deployment of AMICAS PACS has been a resounding success at Garden City Hospital,” said Bill Moncrief of CareTech Solutions, who serves as chief information officer at Garden City Hospital. “AMICAS PACS has been easy to deploy and maintain, and we have seen successful adoption by all of our clinicians. We are looking forward to extending our AMICAS solution to include even more of our radiology workflow.”
CareTech Solutions, Garden City Hospital’s IT partner, will continue to support the hospital’s AMICAS PACS and its extended radiology workflow solutions, and provide comprehensive training to the system’s end users. CareTech has provided IT management services to Garden City Hospital since 2001.
