Southfield, Mich. — August 14, 2002 – CareTech Solutions, Inc., the healthcare affiliate of Compuware Corporation, today announced the appointment of Patrick Milostan to the position of chief technology officer, effective immediately. In this position, he will report directly to the office of the president.
Milostan is responsible for directing CareTech Solutions’ information technology (IT) efforts, including oversight of IT application and operations. He will also direct the selection of software and hardware to more effectively leverage IT resources across the organization. Initially, Milostan will focus on consolidating services for enhanced efficiency, as well as supporting the sales team in their ongoing efforts to provide industry-leading solutions for CareTech Solutions’ customers.

Previously, Milostan was vice president and chief information officer for Hurley Medical Center – a $300 million regional referral center in Flint, Michigan. He had operational responsibility for information services, medical records, service access management and admitting. Before joining Hurley in 1995, Milostan was director of Financial, Administrative and Managed Care Systems at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.
Milostan has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northwood University in Midland, Mich. In addition, he holds a certificate in data processing from Control Data Institute in Southfield, Mich.
