Presentation to Highlight Strategies for Success in Selling and Championing the Document Imaging Project, Overcoming Objections and Leveraging Resources to Ensure a Smooth Implementation
TROY, Mich., May 15, 2008 – CareTech Solutions, an information technology (IT) services provider for hospitals and health systems, announced today that Leslie Mack, Senior Director of CareTech’s iDocTM Document Imaging Implementation Division, and AnneMarie Girard, CareTech’s Director iDoc Delivery & HIM Operations, will deliver a presentation entitled, “Going Paperless? What You Need to Know to Make a Smooth Transition,” on Tuesday, May 20, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Michigan Health Information Management Association (MHIMA) annual conference, to be held at the Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, Mich.
“This presentation will demonstrate that communication among stakeholders is key to making the transition to electronic document management successful for any healthcare facility,” said Mack. “I am pleased to provide some best practices and strategies for success in not only making the paper-to-electronic transition, but identifying champions in the organization who can help sell the project, overcome objections and ensure success.”
In addition to highlighting the benefits and challenges associated with making the transition from paper-based to electronic document management at healthcare facilities, discussion points will include implementation best practices honed by Mack and Girard, as well as strategies in successfully championing the document imaging project with colleagues to ensure a smooth implementation.
“Now more than ever, hospitals understand that implementing document imaging systems, electronic medical records and other similar technologies is no longer a luxury, but a necessity,” said Charlie Robinson, President of MHIMA and iDocTM Implementation Manager with CareTech Solutions. “That’s why presentations providing industry-proven best practices are particularly valuable in showing hospitals they’re not alone, and that success in the paper-to-electronic transition is achievable.”
